Forehead lift

Goal: To lift up and remove the excess forehead skin and correct horizontal and vertical wrinkles on the forehead and between eyebrows, as well as to perform brow lift.

Surgical technique of forehead lift: Bicoronal scalp incision or endoscoping mini lifting, skin is released till orbital rim and excessive skin removed along with the resection of the corrugators and procerus muscles that cause vertical wrinkles and the strip excisions of the frontal muscle to weaken its function and thus neutralize horizontal wrinkling. One can perform forehead lift alone but more often with the face lift.

Duration and anesthesia: Approximately 2 hours under general anesthesia.

Recovery after forehead lift: Usual activities and hair wash after 1 week. Stitches are removed after 2 weeks.

Rare complications: Mild edema and hematoma on the forehead.
