Liposculpture of the Neck

Goal of the neck liposculpture: Contour refinement of the lower third of the face and neck by removal of the jaw line and submental fat deposits.

Operative technique of neck liposculpture: Through small stub incisions on the skin below the chin, a saline solution with anesthetic and adrenalin is infiltrated. With special small diameter cannulas fat is aspirated and thus removed.

Duration and anesthesia: Procedure is performed under local anesthesia and lasts usually 30-60 min.

Recovery after neck liposculpture: After 1-2 weeks elastic compressive bandages are removed, and patient returns to usual activities. Early postoperative massage is recommended.

Rare complications: Transitory bruises and mild edema.
